“Thank you for your help in preparing my mediation presentation for my client’s personal injury case against a renowned charity. This presentation had very specific challenges…most of all, we needed to make the defendants understand that a charity is not necessarily immune from a large jury verdict…I came to you with a bunch of details and you reframed my argument by putting the big picture first, and the necessary details later…right down to the specific images and colors in the Power Point….I absolutely believe this presentation got us their top settlement offer at mediation [instead of waiting] until the eve of trial or even after jury selection.”

“Eric has been one of the most important influences on my work, and on that of many of America’s best attorneys and consultants. What he teaches is as good as it gets…among other things, how to use jury selection in essential ways no one else has ever thought of. He shows how to exponentially multiply the value of focus groups. Above all…he teaches how to create a case story that appeals to every juror – including the tort-“reformed”. His teaching will vastly improve not only your trials but also your mediations and negotiations. No one else provides the insights and techniques he will give you.”

“Probably the most valuable thing you taught me (and there were many) …was your ‘encourage to work on another panel’ technique used in voir dire. I’ve never had so many jurors open up and tell me that maybe the job they were better suited for was in a different trial…coupled with the other techniques you taught me regarding getting the prospective juror to commit to an obvious bias was simply terrific…Our local judges rarely grant challenges for cause for any reason, much less because a prospective juror has trouble awarding money for non-economic losses…I managed to get 8…Before using your techniques, I do not think I had ever been granted such a cause strike. I look forward to working with you again.”

"If anyone needs further evidence that your talents are worth their weight in gold, refer them to this case where my client is going to collect all fees and costs from a collectible plaintiff. We did not just defeat the plaintiff's multi-million fire loss claim, we proved it was frivolous. I look forward to our next collaboration."

“In preparation for our focus group, you suggested we begin our explanation…with the company’s behavior that led to the accident involving our client. [After] two unsuccessful mediations, we had a settlement conference in which the judge asked me why I was rejecting a seven-figure offer on a case that had only low five-figures in past medical expenses. Following your suggestion, I described the bad behavior the company had done, and was continuing to do, that led to this accident. The judge immediately “got it”…turned to the other lawyers and asked why they were not offering more than the seven-figure number. All this in a jurisdiction that produces very few seven figure verdicts. The story sequencing was critical in turning the opinion of the judge and resulted in the settlement of the case, substantially in excess of the seven-figure number. Looking forward to our focus group next month.”

“Thank you again for coming to speak at TAMS. It was an excellent way to teach lawyers how to use what is known about jury decision making in order to bring jurors around to properly understanding a case…I trust that everyone who attended this outstanding workshop now understands…that rather than [just] relying on jury selection to “get rid of bad jurors” …attorneys can bring jurors around to see the case the way lawyers would like them to perceive the case.”

"You were there for us when we needed you. Your meetings with us were instrumental in formulating a strategy that obviously worked very well. The forms and concepts developed with you were a centerpiece of our case and integral part of this successful trial."

"Your work shifted my thinking from a 'simple automobile case' to a 'safety case'. I learned that the purpose of a focus group is how to package and present the case, rather than to predict its outcome or value. Your work helped me to reframe and refocus some of my legal and presentational predispositions. I urge you to tell your clientele to use your focus group services early and often."

"Thank you once again for your assistance. The case was extraordinarily difficult, covered many issues and had many, many witnesses. Your ability to marshal down the case to its essentials and develop a cogent theme for the jury to follow was instrumental in having the case resolved in the manner in which it did."
